Welcome From the Superintendent
Greetings from Belgrade Public Schools - located in the beautiful Gallatin Valley of Montana! We are not only surrounded by stunning natural beauty, but also enjoy a residential, business and recreational community that is supportive, engaged and dedicated to its public schools.
Belgrade Public School District is the largest Class A district in Montana with a current enrollment of more than 2,900 students. The district employs 200 PreK-12 teachers and 215 classified staff. Our 7-member School Board is very stable in its tenure and during the 2010-11 school year initiated the process of establishing a Strategic Plan that guides our improvement efforts.
Our district supports a rich and challenging curriculum and prioritizes the support of effective instruction through extensive Professional Development opportunities for all staff. In addition Belgrade Public Schools has received the distinction of 80/80 designation through the Montana Behavior Initiative; offers seven Advanced Placement courses; has multiple Gold Star Award winners and a growing number of teachers pursuing their National Board Certification.
Our facilities include five schools: Ridge View Elementary (grades K-3), Heck/Quaw Elementary (grades PK-3), Belgrade Intermediate (grades 4-6), Belgrade Middle School (grades 7-8) and Belgrade High School (grades 9-12). These schools are soon to be joined by a new elementary school with an anticipated construction completion date of August 2014. Thank you to our community for its great support in addressing our growing needs! Our district also boasts the Belgrade Special Event Center – a facility which seats 4,800 and is venue to everything from sporting events to concerts.
In short, the Belgrade Public School District is one of distinction; professionalism and holds great promise for the future of our children.
Welcome!
Sincerely,
Candy Lubansky, Superintendent
